Takes place prior to Liz and Nathan going into Fae to confront Arawn.
Amy: Close, but close only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades.http://j.mp/i8VZkv
Liz: *snorts*
Amy: ...What?
Liz: ...you're not violent. That's as funny as me being a fairy.
Amy: I know! God, they really just aren't very bright.
Liz: Kinda like my shrinks were with those ink blot things.
Amy: You do know there's no real answer to those, right?
Liz: No shit... *eyeroll*
Amy: Hey, just makin' sure. Some people think there's such a thing as a "right answer" to the ink blot test, an' there ain't.
Liz: Believe me, I spent enough time in the crazy house to know how those things work, Amy.
Amy: *hands up* Just sayin'.
Liz: Thanks....can we talk about something else, please? Voices in my head make me feel crazy, so.
Amy: *amused* It's a good thing it makes you feel crazy. Generally -means- you're crazy.
Liz: Means I fucked up the Oath, but whatever.
Amy: *eyebrow* Huh?
Liz: When I took the Oath, I accidently included Jack and the kids in the link. Sorta. It's not the same as with the other Knights.
Amy: *superfrown* Whaddaya mean?
Liz: You know how I can feel what Nathan feels? Well, it's like that with Jack and the boys too. And there's this telepathy thing, too. Abe told me about it. It happened right after I took the Oath so that must be it.
Amy: *frownyface* How'd that even happen?
Liz: The King told me to focus in the Oath, only the Oath and nothing but that. *sighs* But the only reason I took the damned Oath n the first place was to protect Jack and the kids, so I was thinking about them to and...POOF. Or something. Trevor acted like he knew exactly how to use it, like he's always had it. He was telling -me- how to use it right. *softly* Not that I can.
Amy: *frowns* I didn't even think that was possible.
Liz: *eyebrow*Amy, you should know better than that by now. -Anything- is possible.
Amy: Alright, alright. Fair enough.
Liz: *nods* It's kinda good, though. I know that Trevor's OK. At least the King's keeping up his end of the deal, for now.
Amy: *headtilts* What deal?
Liz: *casually* If I fight for the Fae, then...my family gets to chose if they want to fight. Didn't...work though.
Amy: Didn't? Why not?
Liz: *annoyed* Because your husband neglected to tell me WHICH Fae took my family. Got the wrong damned fairy to promise me that they'd be alright. Now I'm stuck being a Knight and it's not even going to help them.
Amy: Who's got 'em, then!
Liz: UnSeelie. *headshake* They have NO knights, so they took Trevor as bait to get to Jack. *shaking a bit* They're forcing... -Him- to stay out, all the time. The Brother won't even let me link to Jack, says he's protecting him from the pain. -Again.- It's like that Master bullshit all over again! I can't do ANYTHING to help him, and the Brother wouldn't let me anyway.
