She watched the spear hit the floor with a clatter. The troll wheeled towards it's prize, as if Liz and the unconscious Hellboy weren't even there. She'd have screamed at the troll if she wasn't so concerned about saving the father of her children.

Children...

Liz reached around Hellboy's neck, forcing him up so if his eyes did open again, the first thing he'd see was her. “You've gotta get up.” She swallowed hard, leaning closer to whisper the most important part in his ear. “You need to get up, because you're going to be a father.”
