Setting: Second Chances Verse
Prompt: Die, Die My Darling
I’ll be seeing you again. I’ll be seeing you in Hell.
“Oh no, you fuckin’ don’t!” Liz screamed as she ran towards the manhole she’d just watched the last tentacle slither down. Her new partner stood there with his mouth agape before he shouted after her. “Wait…don’t we need to wait for back up?!” He hadn’t expected this kind of ferocity from someone like Liz. She seemed so...SWEET!
“NO TIME!” She hardly slowed pace as she reached the entrance to the sewer, and she probably would have fallen to a very painful and premature death in her haste had Gabriel not thought quickly.
She yelped as she felt herself floating out through the hole in the street she’s just jumped down. She really wasn’t expecting to see him again until the mission was over. Gabriel had his hand held up in a very interesting way, like he had invisible strings coming from his finger. All thoughts of the Chuthlu like beast that had just eaten the rest of their team moments ago were gone from her mind as her mouth hung open. How the hell did he do that?
