25. As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like?
That’s not even funny.
26. When and with whom was your first kiss?
An Agent named Smith. It was at the BPRD Christmas party, the only one we ever had. There was mistletoe involved. We got called out on a mission right after he kissed me. He got killed by some kind of gooey monster thing that ripped his head clean off. Don’t recall what it was called but Abe probably knows.
27. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity? Nope, 5 years ago and I…don’t remember his name.
28. If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities. If you are just a normal human, describe any influences in your past that led you to do the things you do today.
The fires started small enough. I just had to put my other hand over them and they were out. But as they got bigger and scarier, and my parents found out, I was more and more ashamed of them. After I exploded, I got bounced around a lot and finally Broom found me. I learned to control my fire mostly at BPRD and at Belliamie, though the lithium at Bellamie probably had more to do with my control than my actually learning to control it.
Part 3: Past Influences

Mistaking
graylikeme for the bad Sylar parallel.

I wish I didn’t explode when I was 11. I remember it like it was yesterday. I wish I hadn’t kissed Red, either.
38. What is your best memory?
After I met Hellboy for the first time. I was really scared and Broom made me hot cocoa and sat with me in my room until I feel asleep, reading me stories.

Killing my Family, those months I spent in Bellemie Psychiatric Hospital.

Killing or hurting someone I love with my fire.
42. What are your religious views?
Catholic. Haven’t been to church in years, though.
43. What are your political views?
I never got to vote. The whole “you don’t really exist” thing makes it hard to resister. I never noticed any real changes in the BPRD when a different political party was in charge, so I guess I don’t really care.
44. What are your views on sex?
You should only sleep with someone you love. Me, I shouldn’t sleep with anybody they tend to…die.
45. Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable?
I have. If someone was hurting or going to kill someone I care about, I would defend them. I’m actually more willing to protect someone than I am myself.
46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?
Kill. Also, not have any coffee made.
47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?
I’m starting to.
48. What do you believe makes a successful life?
Being Normal.
49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)?
Not very, I lie to myself. I keep things from people. I won’t say something if I know it will upset someone. Sometimes I snap and yell at people. I usually get to chatty then and let things slip out. If I get nervous I talk too much as well. Sometimes things slip out them. I’m learning to be more communicative with people I care about, like
1breath and
captain_flyboy
50. Do you have any biases or prejudices?
I don’t like it when people use something someone did in the past as a basis of judging who they are now.
51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it?
Use my fire for my own gain. Lighting smokes doesn’t count right.
52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)?
Red, Abe, Dana, and Jack.
Part 5: Relationships With Others
53. In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how?
I try to stick to small talk with new people. You never know what they really are. I’m usually very nice
54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why?
It was Broom, I guess now…Jack. God, that sound’s weird saying that out loud. Don’t tell him I said that, I don’t want him to freak out.
55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why?
Again, It was Broom. Now, Sylar, Dana and Jack. I’m really proud of Red for how he acted when Jack and I went to BPRD recently. Well, except the laughing at Manning getting punched thing, but I wanted to laugh too so I can’t fault him for that.
56. Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people.
Red- He’s like my brother. I grew up with him. He knows me better than I know myself. He knows how to cheer me up, how to make me feel better when I cry. I’m glad he’s talking to me again. It’ll take time, but hopefully we’ll be okay again soon.
Dana – I really like Dana. She’s the first female friend I’ve had that wanted to be friends with me. She’ll even hang out with me outside of work. She makes me feel like growing up at BPRD is normal. I like feeling normal.
Sylar – he’s the first one who had confidence in me outside of BPRD. He reminds me of Broom a bit, kind and forgiving but firm and authorative when he has to be.
Gabriel – He’s fun to hang out with. I really like that I can be a geek around him and he doesn’t make fun of me.
Jack – Well, I guess I can talk about that on the next question.
57. Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person.
I guess…Jack. If you want me to put an official label on the whole thing, then Jack, yeah. He’s confusing. He’s sweet. He’s gorgeous. He makes me laugh. He makes me feel special, and not in a “hey, I have a power” way, but in a…human way. He makes me feel safe, no matter how afraid I am. He makes me feel stronger when I don’t feel strong at all. I get those butterflies in my stomach whenever he’s around or someone says his name.
He’s seen me at my worst and he doesn’t care, which amazes me. I can yell and scream at him and he doesn’t really get too mad at me. We really need to stop snarking at each other, though that usually leads to the kissing. God, I love the kissing…I get all light headed and I forget what…
Wait, what was I saying? Oh yeah. Jack. * Happy sigh *
58. Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened. I don’t know. I don’t think so. What’s love supposed to feel like? I think I am. Don’t say anything though; I don’t want to screw this up.
59. What do you look for in a potential lover?
I have no idea.
60. How close are you to your family?
BPRD- The only family I had for years. Things are awkward, but they’re getting better. I miss Broom.
New York – I guess Dana and Jack are the closest thing I have to a family here. Dana is kind of mom like. She’s good at that. Will is a lucky kid. Jack is…well. He’s the person I’m closest to. If I had to fill out one of those “who do we contact in an emergency” forms, I’d probably put Jack on there.
61. Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not?
No kids. I don’t want them. What if this fire thing is genetic? I don’t want anyone to have to live with that sort of thing.
62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help?
Sylar, Dana, Red or Jack.
63. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why?
I know Sylar and Jack will protect me from things I don’t need to know. I know Red will kick the shit out of anything that threatens me. I guess Jack will, too. He punched Manning when he was being a jerk to everyone I care about. *can’t help laughing at that * That was…amazing, sort of scary, but amazing. I’ve never seen Jack that angry before. I don’t want to see it ever again.
64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you?
Jack, Dana, Abe and Red. I hope Gabriel and Sylar will both miss me.
65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why?
Manning. He’s such a self serving prick. Daniel Linderman. I know it’s wrong to speak ill of the dead, but that guy deserves to be in hell.
66. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?
I try to avoid it but sometimes I explode. I get really combative with Jack, even more so than I ever did with Red. Which confuses the hell out of me.
67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?
Um…no. I follow orders. I try to go by the book. The last time I made a decision on my own I ended up hurting people. I don’t like doing that.
68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not?
I don’t really like to. I’m all right at small talk though. I’d rather just go have coffee or go get lunch or hang out and watch movie.
69. Do you care what others think of you?
Yes. I try to be as normal as possible.
Part 6: Likes And Dislikes
70. What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes?
I love my old camera. I wish they still made Polaroid film. I still can’t figure out the digital camera I got. I was hoping William could show me how at the museum, but…things happened that got in the way.
71. What is your most treasured possession?
My Pictures. The gold cross that my mother gave me.
72. What is your favorite color?
Red.
73. What is your favorite food?
Pancakes. Coffee.
74. What, if anything, do you like to read?
We had a lot of comics around BPRD because Manning had them all bought up when anything about BPRD was mentioned. Cerebus the Aardvark is my favorite.
75. What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)?
Star Wars, Old cheesy horror flicks. I liked the museum. I like going around and taking pictures of things and looking at photographs.
76. Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit?
I smoke. I’m going to try and quit. I still have a few packs in the freezer and then I’m done. Maybe. It keeps me calm so it might be worth the cancer. No…it’s not worth the cancer.
We always had beer at BPRD. Well, Red had beer. I guess that whiskey Dana and I had at the Dark Horse was good. Made me a bit to chatty and silly, though. Not vodka. I hate vodka after what happened the last time.
77. How do you spend a typical Saturday night?
At home, cleaning, organizing, not being able to sleep.
78. What makes you laugh?
Lots of things. Jack usually makes me laugh with the things he says, but that because I don’t actually understand what he’s talking about and I get nervous. It makes me all happy and fluttery inside some of the things he says to me. I feel like I’m in one of those silly movies.
Red always had a good one liner in a tense situation.
I’m laughing a lot more lately. It’s nice.
79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you?
People judging someone by what they did in their past.
80. What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself?
What you mean like I do every night? I clean my apartment. Organize things, try not to think about the bad stuff.
81. How do you deal with stress?
Smoking.
82. Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan?
I like to have a plan for most everything. I’m not impetuous or spontaneous, usually. I have been more so lately. Not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.
83. What are your pet peeves?
People acting like they understand when they clearly do not understand. Lying, though I’m starting to accept that some lies are okay. They can protect you form things that will hurt you.
Part 7: Self Images And Etc.
84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted?
Get up, make coffee, shower, get dressed. Go to work, try to do a good job. Go home, order delivery for dinner, try to sleep. Smoke a lot, drink a lot of coffee.
Some days, I love a good distraction. Others I just want the normal routine.
85. What is your greatest strength as a person?
Loyalty.
86. What is your greatest weakness?
Lack of self-confidence.
87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I would love to not have this fire inside me.
88. Are you generally introverted or extroverted?
Introverted
89. Are you generally organized or messy?
Organized.
90. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at.
Good: Organization, Taking pictures, Worrying too much
Bad: Understanding other people, Staying calm, being a leader
91. Do you like yourself?
Meh. I guess I’m okay.
92. What are your reasons for being an adventurer (or doing the strange and heroic things that RPG characters do)? Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public? (If so, detail both sets of reasons...)
What else am I going to do? I’m a freak. It’s not like I have a lot of options on the career front.
93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?
Be as normal as possible.
94. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Hopefully not back at BPRD, but that’s the way it seems to end up. I don’t know now though. With Broom dead, everything is different.
95. If you could choose, how would you want to die?
In my sleep.
96. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left.
Tell Jack that I love him. Visit Broom’s Grave one last time and go see Red.
97. What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death?
That I was a good person.
98. What three words best describe your personality?
Spastic. Nervous. Stressed out.
99. What three words would others probably use to describe you? Emo. Stupid. Childish.
100. If you could, what advice would you, the player, give to your character? (You might even want to speak as if he or she were sitting right here in front of you, and use proper tone so he or she might heed your advice...)
Stop thinking everything to death, stop worrying so much and for fucks sake would you just tell Jack what’s in your heart already. The worst he can do is leave and never come back.
Wait…never mind. Forget that last part. You should quit smoking though. Maybe learn to use that taser better.
