Christmas Day - 20 years ago
I run hard when my dad calls me to come open Christmas presents, the slippery bits of my slippers sliding on the vinyl floor. “ Did he come? Did he come?” I’m bouncing up and down excitedly. If Santa came, that means he’s real and if he’s real that means maybe he’ll give me what I really want for Christmas. ( I don’t want anything really, I want something to go away. )
