Liz whispered to him again. “Stay calm, Peter. Peaceful. It will listen if you just relax.” She was scared out of her mind the kid would blow up the building. The entire block was deserted, but Liz had made mile wide blasts before, what’s to say Peter couldn’t as well?
She winced as the flaming orange ball he’d created got bigger and began to sputter like someone had cranked up the gas. She had no idea her being as scared as she was was exactly why Peter had such a hard time keeping the fire in check.
